Mike M2024-09-09BIRD HEAVEN AND RELAXATION We returned to Musango as part of a three safari camp visit to Zimbabwe. The unique Musango experience remains as special as ever. The beauty and quiet of the camp and lake provides ideal relaxation and recharging of batteries either as a result of a hectic life or from the relentless programme of safaris. There is incredible bird life . We have been on some 12 safaris throughout Africa and there is nowhere to compare with Musango. Sitting in quiet on the pontoon up a creek ticking off some 50 birds will remain in our memory. A fellow birdwatching guest had ticked off over 100 species. The camp is run by the incomparable Steve Edwards, formerly National Parks Warden of Lake Kariba with many stories to tell, and Edwards family. His son is one of the guides and his wife and daughter run the camp. Thank you to them all. Here you get real owner guiding, best birding and a lot of fun. We had 6 nights Hwange before, the 3 nights at Musango, then 5 nights Mana Pools. Highly recommended. Lake Kariba is a different World, no bumpy and dusty roads, good hame viewing from the boat. And: outstanding birding with Steve. 56 Spezies before brunch.Eric D2024-08-20Musango July 2024 — A Truely Wonderful Place. A Delightful Experience. We had a wonderful time here shared with our special friends Rijk and Juliette Yates and their eldest daughter Eloise. I had always heard of the legendary Steve and Wendy Edwards and although we missed Steve we were very well hosted and entertained by the kids Graham and Robyn and ‘ family member to be 😁 ‘ Brad. Together with the grand stalwart Cher! A very big thank you to them all plus very special mention of all the staff in the camp! Yummy food and always very well presented by the ever smiling staff. Just wish we were there for longer! Great guiding and unforgettable experiences — thank you so much! We will certainly be passing the word amongst our friends and family.Camara v2024-08-14A Bucketlist must Amazing experience!! We felt so at home, with the staff attending to all our needs! The electric fence made us feel safe with our 2 year old and my hubby was chuffed with the tiger fish he caught. It's a beautiful place and something that everyone needs to add to their bucket list. From drinking tea with bushbuck to feeding the fish eagle it made special memories for our little family. Thank you Musango!Joanna C2024-08-06Out of this world experiance, loved by all our family. We had such a wonderful stay at Musango. It was so different from the other places we visited, with the ability to see fantastic wildlife from land and water, an excellent combination of delicious food and extremely knowledgeable, welcoming guides and staff. Thank you.Jeff Morse2024-08-02The Best of Zimbabwe! The epitome of African paradise! The owners and staff have created nothing short of an epic experience flush with decadence, authenticity, kindness, intelligence, and attention to every possible detail. Incredible setting on Lake Kariba. Visited the fishing village and observed their way of life. Surreal sunsets and game outings by land and water. The best and internationally-acclaimed bush guide and fossil discoverer on the planet. The accommodations were simply beautiful with breathtaking views. The meals were absolutely superb! All-class!! "I'll be baack." Love you all!Donald L2024-07-23BEST SAFARI CAMP ON LAKE KARIBA This was my third visit to Musango and it was as unique and wonderful as always. If you’re looking for a very relaxing safari, in a spectacular location, this is it. Located on the shore of Lake Kariba the sunrises and sunsets are second to none. There are multiple activities available on land and on the lake. Amazing food too. I can’t wait to go back again!!Niela M2024-05-27Hospitality & breathtaking nature The lodge is beautifully situated, slightly elevated on an island with a wonderful view over Lake Kariba. The bungalows are simple, but are beautifully spread out in the gardens, with plenty of privacy and a beautiful view of the lake and the animals that live there. The animal and bird life is breathtaking, as are the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Many different, exciting and beautiful activities are offered on and around the lake. We stayed there for 2 nights, in the future we would plan a longer stay of at least 3 nights so that there is enough time to enjoy the various activities. Steve, Graham and Conrad have a lot of know-how and we learned a lot of new things during the excursions and received a lot of exciting information about the region and the animal world. We were also given a very warm welcome by the entire Musango team and this warmth made the whole stay perfect. It is worth planning a stop at Lake Kariba during a trip through beautiful Zimbabwe - alongside the safaris in Hwange and Mana Pools, Lake Kariba was the perfect change in our program. Thank you @Musango Team for your hospitality, we felt completely at home.Chris D2024-04-18Great, world class experience. My wife and I chose Musango Safari Park as one of our destinations for our honeymoon and what an incredible experience we both had. The staff were so attentive to our needs and the attention to detail was second to none. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which gave us plenty of privacy, plenty of space with a comfortable bed, plenty amenities and our own dipping pool along with clean bedding and room everyday with free laundry, turned around on the day. There was plenty of activities to choose from and our tour guide, Graham who is the son of the founders took us on all of our activities which he showed impressive knowledge on all game animals we came across and even more impressively, his knowledge on all the birds in the area and migrating birds too. All this along with fishing and a bit of an insight on tracking animals as well. The team didn't just show us a good time, they also showed us how giving they are too, with a tour to the local fishing village and demonstrated some of the good work they have been doing there to help build the locals kids education and also donated reading glasses/prescribed glasses to those who are in need. We witness this exchange and saw just how grateful the village elders were for this small gift. Thank you to the Musango team, we will most certainly be back and hopefully for longer next time! :)Greg W2023-10-12Genuine, intimate African experience This is Africa in the raw. A family owned and run safari camp with 8 individual, comfortable and secure ‘glamping’ accommodations, all very separate with sunrise views and some with a plunge pool. A hand crafted, thatched central meeting and eating area with drinks and meals included. Game viewing can be achieved from any of the accommodations or the central meeting area but a game drive is a must. The owner, Steve Edwards and his offspring are fluent in the local languages and qualified trekkers who will take the time to identify and track every bird, animal or reptile’s tracks rather than simply driving around. The experience is far more intimate than in the larger more crowded, tourist oriented camps. Fishing and travelling on foot is a must, or simply lounge by the pool while game viewing and listening to that distinctive African sound of grumbling hippo in the bay. We only wish we’d stayed for a week rather than the three days we did
